Creative Education of Canada

It all started when a Mom could not find fun, educational toys for her three young children. An engineer by profession, no longer thrilled with corporate life she wondered, How hard could it be to create my own toys?ï¾ Apparently much harder than Joyce Keelan had originally anticipated! Pic-A-Puppet, her first product went on to win the prestigious Oppenheim Toy Portfolio's S.N.A.P. award (Special Needs Adaptable Play) in the Pretend Play category. Although Pic-A-Puppet is now merely a memory, Creative Education of Canada's focus continues to be bringing Pretend Play products to the market because we believe in their benefit. The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio states it best: Pretend play is not just great fun. It's the way kids develop imagination and creative thinking skills and try out being big and powerful. Pretending also brings the world down to the child's size and understanding. It's a way to develop communication skills and an outlet for expressing feelings and fears.
